DREAMING OF A NEW PORSCHE 911? GO CONFIGURE…

Arriving in all UK Porsche Centres officially this weekend (December 17), the new Porsche 911 Carrera is a completely new generation of the iconic sports coupe and to celebrate its launch, Porsche is inviting fans to visit the car configurator on porsche.co.uk and build their dream 911. One lucky participant’s 911 will be turned from virtual dream into reality.

The new Porsche 911 configurator uses the latest 3D computer modelling to generate images with a remarkable level of realism, enabling viewers to consider the appearance of colour combinations and explore in detail the range of optional dynamic and cosmetic features available. Further functions include the option to calculate personalised finance examples once your car specification is configured, and also play the engine sound of the car.

Simply specify your ideal new 911 using the on-line Porsche car configurator on porsche.co.uk, and enter your details before midnight on January 31 2012.

One entry will be selected at random and that exact new 911 will be built. The winner will be invited to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone to drive their ‘perfect 911’ on a half-day programme next summer.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera

True to the 911 tradition, the new sports car combines a powerful rear-mounted flat-six engine with the iconic silhouette, and adds more power and efficiency, less weight and a host of new technologies to further enhance the sports car driving experience.

The 911 Carrera costs from £71,449 and the Carrera S from £81,242. Standard equipment on all models is leather interior, sports seats, automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights, 4.6-inch colour touch-screen Porsche Communication Management with satellite navigation, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity, Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and a three year warranty.

The Carrera S adds 20-inch alloy wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with rear limited slip differential, in addition to the power advantage of the larger 3.8-litre engine.

Fitted to every 911 is a Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), a sophisticated vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 standard, and customers can also explore the potential of their new car by participating in a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
